Job Summary 

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinic team. The LPN will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and other members of the care team to provide high-quality outpatient care.

The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office, and able to communicate effectively with both patients and clinical staff. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Obtain and accurately document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, and other relevant information
• Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, weight, and other clinical measurements
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed
• Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as ordered and within the LPN scope of practice
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other basic nursing procedures
• Collect specimens and assist with laboratory testing as assigned
• Perform or assist with point-of-care testing
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Review and respond to clinical messages, refill requests, and other patient-care tasks as directed by the provider
• Communicate provider instructions, test results, and follow-up recommendations to patients as appropriate
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, preventative care, and follow-up instructions
• Assist with care coordination and referrals when needed
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate provider
• Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment
• Follow infection-control, safety, HIPAA, and clinic policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with the clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow and provide an excellent patient experience

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN license
• Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment
• Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
• Knowledge of patient confidentiality, HIPAA, infection-control standards, and nursing best practices
• Dependable, professional, compassionate, and patient-focused

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, or other outpatient clinic setting
• Experience with electronic medical record systems
• Experience administering vaccines and injections
• Experience with telephone triage, prescription refill workflows, care coordination, or patient education
